On the Road to Recovery
The Margaret Tietz Nursing and Rehabilitation Center’s Short-Term Rehabilitation Program in our modernized gym helps patients achieve their maximum functional capacity and get back to their homes and their community in the shortest time possible. To achieve this goal, patients receive physical, occupational and speech therapy from our compassionate, highly skilled therapists.
The therapists work in conjunction with our team of physicians, nurses, social workers and nutritionists, along with the patient and their family, to develop an individualized plan of care using innovative techniques and technologically advanced equipment. For example, the virtual rehabilitation system allows patients to receive physical and occupational therapy by participating in video games that simulate race car driving, drum tapping or even flying in a hot-air balloon.
Our Short-Term Rehabilitation patients stay in newly renovated rooms complete with cable TV and unlimited local calls, and have their own dining room with a wait staff whose goal is to satisfy each patient’s preferences.
