When Rose Stevenson became a resident at Margaret Tietz, she began forming close friendships with other residents.
“There’s a very warm environment here,” Rose explains simply.
And plenty to do.
Indeed, her untapped passion for painting was revealed when she began sampling the variety of recreational options offered by Margaret Tietz.
“There were so many of the activities on the weekly schedule. I tried dominoes and yoga, and music and movement, and all types of arts and crafts…but it was painting that gave me a new hobby and a sense of accomplishment."
Before she became a resident at Margaret Tietz, Rose had never painted. “Now,” says Rose, “When I go outside on the terrace, I notice the trees in a different way than I had before. I think about what I saw and paint what I feel.”
