When Violet Hayles was 88 years old, the daughter with whom she was living tragically passed away. In need of constant care, Violet moved to Margaret Tietz Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where her daughter Jennifer works as a CNA. “I’m so fortunate that my daughter, Jennifer, can have lunch with me each day. And when the weather is warm, we sit outside on the terrace near the beautiful water fountain and admire the flowers. How special that is.”
By mid-afternoon, Violet is graced with a visit from Pamela, the youngest of her nine children. “She always makes me laugh,” confides Violet.
In between visits from her girls, Violet enjoys a number of the scheduled activities Margaret Tietz offers. “The exercise and musical programs, and, of course, the religious programs, are my favorites,” says Violet.
“At this stage in my life, I smile because I have family and friends that I spend time with every day.”
